It is with immense sadness that we have learned of the death of Rob Lue.
Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time to whom we express our friendship and deep, deep sympathy.
Rob Lue embodied a rare combination of qualities: intelligence, modesty, engagement, fidelity, directness, kindness and, above all, commitment to students.
We feel exceedingly fortunate to have had him by our side, as the organizer of the Harvard Science po CRI Biopolis summer school every year, and as a committed member of our international Scientific Advisory Board. We will always be grateful to him for years of great generosity, insight and implication in the development of our institution and its community. We will continue to contribute to his legacy of innovating scientific education and mentoring.
He was a great friend to the very last day and will be dearly missed here in Paris, as well as by all people who had the chance to meet him or benefit from his mentoring.
