The Learning Planet Institute is proud to announce the launch of the Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge 2024!

This event will be unveiled around the Summit for the Future in New York on September 21, a high-level gathering that brings world leaders and civil society  together to forge a new international consensus on how to deliver a better present and safeguard the future.

Keynote speakers at the Launch:

  • Stefania Giannini, ADG for Education, UNESCO
  • Professor Tshilidzi Marwala, Rector of the United Nations University
  • Francois Taddei, Co-founder and President of the Learning Planet Institute
  • Pearl Oriel Perumal, Winner of the inaugural Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge 2023

The event will also bring together a range of leaders across education and social entrepreneurship, as well as finalists of the first design challenge.

About the Challenge:

The Learning Planet Youth Design Challenge invites students aged 15-26 to propose learning programs aimed at creating flourishing, sustainable, and engaged universities of the future. An international jury comprising leaders from universities, youth networks, and social enterprises will select 20 finalists. Three laureates will present their projects at the LearningPlanet Festival 2025, which coincides with the International Day of Education (January 24, 2025). All finalists will receive monthly training to refine their proposals, build essential relationships, and learn fundraising techniques to support their projects.

Lets come together to co-design the future of learning with youth!
