In December 2023, the\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/unu.edu\/\">United Nations University<\/a> (UNU) and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/\">Learning Planet Institute<\/a> have signed a memorandum of understanding to build and develop research programs and improve access to education, with the aim of meeting the challenges of sustainable development in France and worldwide.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 1972, the United Nations University (UNU) has been bridging the gap between academic research and UN action. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/fr\/\"><div><\/div><\/a>. As an international research and higher education organization, UNU's mission is to provide innovative solutions to global challenges, through collaboration between researchers and students, in support of <a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/fr\/goals\">Sustainable Development Objectives<\/a> (SDGS). With 13 institutes in 12 partner countries, UNU collaborates with the world's leading academic and scientific institutions. Its Master's and Doctorate courses also help to develop\/reinforce skills, particularly in developing countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2006, the Learning Planet Institute has been exploring, experimenting with and sharing new ways of learning and cooperating to meet the needs of young people and the planet. This interdisciplinary research institute creates innovative educational programs that encourage diversity and initiative. In particular, it relies on the\u2019<a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/alliance-internationale\/\">International Alliance <em>LearningPlanet<\/em><\/a>, founded in 2019 with\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/fr\">UNESCO<\/a>, to transform education and build a global learning society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The ambitious partnership between the United Nations University and the Learning Planet Institute aims to :<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promote research into new ways of learning and teaching, including access to Education for All<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop joint training programs to enhance skills, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize knowledge exchange on educational transitions and human\/artificial intelligence, through <em>symposia<\/em>, workshops and conferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate on the development of <em>curricula <\/em>universities, for example through joint degrees <em>UNU-Learning Planet Institute<\/em> or co-directed theses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the future, explore the possibility of the Learning Planet Institute becoming an integral part of UNU<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>We are very excited about this agreement and collaboration with the United Nations University.
