{"id":1581,"date":"2024-06-28T13:32:02","date_gmt":"2024-06-28T11:32:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lpinstitute.dev.onpressidium.com\/news\/batisseurs-de-recits-des-collegiens-de-grigny-rencontrent-un-athlete-paralympique\/"},"modified":"2025-10-29T10:00:45","modified_gmt":"2025-10-29T09:00:45","slug":"story-builders-schoolchildren-from-grigny-meet-a-paralympic-athlete","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/news\/batisseurs-de-recits-des-collegiens-de-grigny-rencontrent-un-athlete-paralympique\/","title":{"rendered":"Press information - Building Stories: Grigny schoolchildren meet a Paralympic athlete"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/r02c1041-1024x683-1.jpg\" class=\"wp-image-36431\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>On June 27, on the Paris campus of the<\/em><\/strong><em><strong> Learning Planet Institute<\/strong><\/em><strong><em> and as part of its \"B\u00e2tisseurs de R\u00e9cits\" project, fourteen students from the SEGPA section of the <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/clg-vilar-grigny.ac-versailles.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>coll\u00e8ge Jean Vilar<\/strong><\/em><\/a><strong><em> from <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/grigny91.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Grigny<\/strong><\/em><\/a><strong><em> (Essonne) were able to exchange views with <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/france-paralympique.fr\/paralympiens\/ryadh-sallem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em><strong>Ryadh Sallem<\/strong><\/em><\/a><strong><em>, athlete in contention for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Story Builders -\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mRRzQhTJQzU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">\u00a9 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.britishcouncil.fr\/\">British Council<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The morning at the Institute began with a meeting with journalists (<a href=\"https:\/\/africultures.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Africulture<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.monparisfm.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mon Paris FM<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/rfpp.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fr\u00e9quence Paris Plurielle<\/a>, and director Solange Bestaoui) to share their advice and experience with the teenagers.<strong>. <\/strong>Preparatory workshops (storytelling and journalistic techniques), held since last May, had also enabled the schoolchildren to prepare and sharpen their questions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to <strong>breaking a spiral of academic and social failure<\/strong>, Grigny, <a href=\"https:\/\/oecdcogito.blog\/2023\/06\/15\/redonner-de-lespoir-a-grigny-comment-la-ville-la-plus-pauvre-de-france-redonne-vie-a-ses-logements\/#:~:text=Elle%20est%20particuli%C3%A8rement%20pr%C3%A9judiciable%20aux,6%20%25%20au%20niveau%20national).\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">poorest city in mainland France<\/a>, collaborates with the Learning Planet Institute to design and experiment with<strong> innovative and sustainable educational solutions<\/strong>, to train and lead the community of its students and those involved in education and youth.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the <strong>Olympic and Paralympic Games <\/strong><strong><em>Paris 2024<\/em><\/strong>, in this year of <strong>centenary of the Rights of the Child<\/strong>, and the success of his project <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/builders-of-the-possible\/\"><em>B\u00e2tisseurs de Possibles<\/em><\/a>, Learning Planet Institute is committed to <em>Storybuilders,<\/em> its new project, to give a voice to the young people of Grignois.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cBringing the Olympics to Grigny, involving these schoolchildren in such a world-class event, means including these young people, enabling them to meet inspiring personalities, to believe more in their dreams and hopes, to open up a field of possibilities...
