{"id":1998,"date":"2025-02-04T09:48:35","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T08:48:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lpinstitute.dev.onpressidium.com\/news\/info-presse-lia-au-service-de-leducation-par-le-learning-planet-institute\/"},"modified":"2025-02-04T09:48:35","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T08:48:35","slug":"info-presse-lia-au-service-de-leducation-par-le-learning-planet-institute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/news\/info-presse-lia-au-service-de-leducation-par-le-learning-planet-institute\/","title":{"rendered":"Press information - AI in the service of Education by the Learning Planet Institute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>On the occasion of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elysee.fr\/sommet-pour-l-action-sur-l-ia\">Artificial Intelligence Action Summit<\/a>, to be held from February 10, 2025, the<\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/\"><em><strong> Learning Planet Institute<\/strong><\/em><\/a><strong><em> through its Founder and Chairman, <\/em><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/biographie-francois-taddei\/\"><em><strong>Fran\u00e7ois Taddei<\/strong><\/em><\/a><strong><em>, positions itself as a key player in new learning methods and sheds light on: the current upheavals in teaching and assessment methods, and the role of AI in the evolution of human intelligence.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artificial Intelligence (AI) is profoundly transforming the educational landscape, particularly in higher education. As generative AI tools become increasingly accessible to the general public, it is imperative to reinvent teaching methods, assessment and the role of teachers in this new context. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>With this in mind, Fran\u00e7ois Taddei, President of the Learning Planet Institute, and Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Pascal, Director of the\u2019<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataia.eu\/\"><strong>DataIA Institute<\/strong><\/a><strong>, have been mandated to <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/2024\/12\/09\/launch-of-mission-on-artificial-intelligence-in-teaching-practices\/\"><strong>lead a mission on the integration of AI into teaching practices by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research (ESR) in order to<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assessing the impact of AI on teaching and learning methods<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Offer an integration framework adapted to different disciplines<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identify training needs to help upgrade skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proposing ways of assessing and recognizing skills in the age of AI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Defining an ethical and regulatory framework to guarantee sovereign AI in higher education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Propose research orientations on the uses of all ESR actors, including teachers and students, in France, Europe and internationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative is part of a broader global context, marked by the commitment of the\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unesco.org\/fr\">UNESCO<\/a> which has chosen to dedicate International Education Day 2025 to the theme: <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/unesdoc.unesco.org\/ark:\/48223\/pf0000392508_fre\">\u00abAI and education: preserving autonomy in an automated world\u00bb<\/a><\/em>.<\/strong> On this occasion, Fran\u00e7ois Taddei took the floor at the UN headquarters to discuss the role of AI in education and its impact on learning processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, <strong>the Learning Planet Institute continues to advance the use of AI to help achieve <a href=\"https:\/\/sdgs.un.org\/fr\/goals\">Sustainable Development Objectives<\/a> (SDGS).<\/strong> Thus, its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/welearn\/\"><strong><em>WeLearn<\/em><\/strong>,<\/a> designed to help learners navigate an ecosystem of diversified learning resources, and powered by the latest advances in AI , is an example of this technological advance. More than just a digital tool, <em>WeLearn<\/em> is a collaborative project aimed at transforming access to education for all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally,<strong> l\u2019<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/urlt\/\"><strong>Learning Transitions Research Unit<\/strong><\/a><strong> of the Learning Planet Institute<\/strong>, is working on the engineering of transitions induced and\/or facilitated by AI (developing theories, methods and tools for human-machine collaboration to address transitions).
