{"id":534,"date":"2021-03-12T15:49:01","date_gmt":"2021-03-12T14:49:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lpinstitute.dev.onpressidium.com\/news\/604b9bed13c1d439b6600a35\/"},"modified":"2025-11-06T22:44:37","modified_gmt":"2025-11-06T21:44:37","slug":"join-us-at-the-geneva-2021-trialogue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/news\/rejoignez-nous-au-trialogue-de-geneve-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"[Join us at the Geneva Trialogue 2021!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>CRI and its partners are taking part in 2 sessions of the third edition of the Geneva Trialogue, taking place online on Thursday March 18, 2021 around the theme \u201cScaling Open Innovation for the SDGs\u201d.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2016, in response to the UN General Assembly's call for collaborative partnerships towards sustainable development for all, the\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unige.ch\/en\/university\/presentation\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">University of Geneva<\/a> launched the <a href=\"https:\/\/gt-initiative.org\/events\/geneva-trialogue\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Geneva Trialogue<\/a>A one-day event bringing together academic, private sector and multilateral players to discuss knowledge and learning tools, platforms and initiatives for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/p>\n<p>Join us for two sessions in particular (full program) <a href=\"https:\/\/gt-initiative.org\/events\/geneva-trialogue\/geneva-trialogue-2021\/programme\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">here<\/a>) :<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"4pmengineering-the-new-ecosystem-for-learning-scaling-through-knowledge-and-research\">16h - Engineering the new learning ecosystem: Developing knowledge and research<\/h3>\n<p>This session will discuss the gaps and barriers that limit the wider adoption of collective problem-solving approaches in learning institutions (K12 and universities), interweaving the perspectives of educators\/social entrepreneurs, policy-makers, the academic and private sectors. Particular attention will be paid to the research and knowledge needed to frame these emerging practices and facilitate their scaling-up.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Moderator: Gaell Manguy, Development and International Relations, CRI Paris<\/li>\n<li>Valerie Hannon, GELP<\/li>\n<li>Elena Proden, UN SDG:Learn &amp; UNITAR<\/li>\n<li>Andreas Schleicher, OECD<\/li>\n<li>Fran\u00e7ois Taddei, CRI<\/li>\n<li>Irina Hotz, Jacobs Foundation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"5pmhelping-youth-innovators-turn-ideas-into-action\">5:00 pm - Helping young innovators turn ideas into action<\/h3>\n<p>CRI and its <a href=\"https:\/\/crowd4sdg.eu\/partners\/\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Crowd4SDG consortium<\/a> (UNIGE, CERN, CSIC, IIIA, Politecnico di Milano, UNITAR, Universit\u00e9 de Paris and CRI) promote citizen science in the service of the SDGs, with a focus on climate action. Its aim is to assess the usefulness of practical innovations developed by the teams, and to research and study how AI applications can enhance and provide effective citizen monitoring of the SDG targets and indicators.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this project, this session's panel will reflect on optimizing the capabilities of youth innovation projects to help them reach their full potential.
