These projects were developed with their mentors CRI and JP Morgan during a 6-month sustainable development hackathon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Schools Challenge is a J.P. Morgan mentoring program, supported by the Savanturiers, designed to awaken the interest of middle school students in Seine-Saint-Denis in science and sustainable development, and to give them an insight into careers that require scientific skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"six-projets-qui-rel%C3%A8vent-six-grands-d%C3%A9fis-du-d%C3%A9veloppement-durable\">SIX PROJECTS TACKLING SIX MAJOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CHALLENGES<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSave your Life\u201d by the Feleyata team from Coll\u00e8ge Didier Daurat - Le Bourget<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A fire hydrant that filters wastewater from sewers to extinguish fires it detects remotely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Challenge met: <em>Wastewater treatment<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Price : <em>The big winners of The Schools Challenge Paris 2021<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cConfifun\u201d by the \u201cLe Bataillon des Explorateurs\" team from Didier Daurat secondary school - Le Bourget<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help isolated people and combat loneliness, the team decided to pitch an application: \u201cConfifun\u201d. This application lets you make friends, train your brain, take on challenges and win prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Challenge met: <em>Confinement, isolation &amp; neuroscience<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Idea Award : <em>\u00abThe idea that will have the greatest impact on my city\u00bb.\u00bb<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cEllis\u201d by the \u201cRed Team\u201d from Didier Daurat secondary school - Le Bourget<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team proposes to transform mobility in the city with two trains:<br>- the \u201cmanetosol\u201d that runs on magnetic energy<br>- silent wind turbines (to combat noise pollution) made entirely from recycled materials<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Challenge met:<em> Urban mobility &amp; transport<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eloquence Award :<em> \u00a0\u00abThe most polished oral presentation\u00bb<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cQGC\u201d by \u201cles apprentis scientifiques\u201d from coll\u00e8ge Joliot Curie - Stains<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The apprentice scientists want to create a leisure and comfort area around their college. This space will consist of a shelter with a USB socket, a green area and furniture made from recycled materials.  Part of the construction work will be carried out by students from the college, but the rest will be carried out by local council staff as part of an educational project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Challenge met:<em> Urban mobility &amp; transport<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prix Espoir :<em> \u00abThe best project management\u00bb<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cTFLASH - Le train qui va plus vite que l'\u00e9clair !\u201d by \u201cles Deters\u201d from coll\u00e8ge Joliot Curie - Stains<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To improve journey times and reduce fatigue, the schoolchildren have proposed an electromagnetic train made from recyclable and sustainable materials, equipped with solar panels, which will enable travel from Greater Paris to every region and city in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Challenge met:<em> Urban mobility &amp; transport<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prix Coup de C\u0153ur des \u00c9l\u00e8ves : <em>\u00abStudents\u00bb favorite idea\u00bb<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cEsc'app\u201d by the \u201cAFG Scientifiques\u201d from coll\u00e8ge Joliot Curie - Stains<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Creation of an app to combat loneliness, depression, boredom and social networking addiction. The app will have two facets. A \u201cpublic\u201c dimension in which you can cook, watch series, play games and do sport together, and a \u201cprivate\u201d dimension in which you can chat with your friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Challenge met: <em>Confinement, isolation &amp; neuroscience<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prix des \u00c9l\u00e8ves-cherche-se-s :<em> \u00abThe group with the best student-researcher attitude\u00bb.\u00bb<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"les-felayata-portent-leur-projet-devant-l%E2%80%99europe\">Felayata take their project to Europe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Team Felayata represented France at a European meeting with the other finalists in The Schools Challenge. The German, English and Italian finalists were able to exchange views on each other's projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-schools-challenge-c%E2%80%99est-quoi\">What is The Schools Challenge?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Schools Challenge is a J.P. Morgan mentoring program designed to awaken the interest of secondary school pupils in Seine-Saint-Denis in science and sustainable development, and to give them a concrete idea of the careers and professions that require scientific skills. The project offers students an original combination of notions and practices characteristic of both the business and research worlds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over a six-month period, CRI's scientific advisors provided the groups with knowledge of scientific methodology. The students were also accompanied by J.P. Morgan mentors, who guided them in the creation of their brand, project and business plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Thanks to the jurors<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Azwaw Benamara (Conseil d\u00e9partemental de la Seine-Saint-Denis), Vanessa Engel (J.P.
