{"id":821,"date":"2021-11-19T15:36:20","date_gmt":"2021-11-19T14:36:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lpinstitute.dev.onpressidium.com\/news\/eveiller-le-coeur-cultiver-lesprit-colloque-international-care-education-ecologie\/"},"modified":"2026-01-12T18:00:30","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T17:00:30","slug":"awaken-the-heart-cultivate-the-spirit-international-conference-care-education-ecology","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/news\/eveiller-le-coeur-cultiver-lesprit-colloque-international-care-education-ecologie\/","title":{"rendered":"Awakening the heart, cultivating the mind - \u201cCare Education Ecology\u201d international symposium\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Health &amp; Care Lab, in collaboration with the Groupement de Recherche <a href=\"https:\/\/tepcare.hypotheses.org\/argumentaire-colloque-care-2021\">PET Care<\/a>, organizes the first edition of the\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/tepcare.hypotheses.org\/colloque-care-2021\">Care symposium<\/a>\u201dwhich will take place at the\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.umontpellier.fr\/\">University of Montpellier<\/a> and online, from November 22-26, 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Health &amp; Care Lab, an interdisciplinary health research program developed at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cri-paris.org\/fr\">CRI<\/a> and coordinated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/cloebrami\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Clo\u00e9 Brami<\/a>, an oncologist and PhD researcher, has made this symposium a place for dialogue between researchers from several disciplines (literary and artistic studies, education sciences, medicine, psychology, etc.) and practitioners (teachers, trainers, carers, but also all interested professionals) on the interactions between care, education and ecology.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The <em>care<\/em>, Care, a word of English origin, refers to the ability to take care of others, not only physically, but also morally, socially and ethically. The ambition of this international symposium is to open a theoretical and practical dialogue on the potential of care ethics and philosophies to enrich educational practices in a context of ecological transition. How can we move from a culture of bandaging to a culture of care that nurtures living resources? How can we nurture a sense of care, particularly in medicine, both individually and collectively?<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Health &amp; Care Lab team went out to meet students, caregivers, philosophers, teachers, care managers, university presidents, engineers, chaplains, meditators, researchers and artists to try to answer these questions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/1LHBMdguwCQ\">Release of the MOOC on February 10, 2022<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image kg-card kg-bookmark-card\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/favicon_144x144.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Health &amp; Care Lab's mindfulness meditation program<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Clo\u00e9 Brami's research focuses on the training of medical students, with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity and the philosophy of care.
