One of them, \u201cLe Monde, sinon rien, Pour un Bauhaus du Vivant\u201d (The World, if not nothing, For a Living Bauhaus), mobilizes numerous researchers and students at the Learning Planet Institute.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Since March 2020, France has turned the corner in record time<\/em>\u201d. Intended as an illustration of our different paths and as a demonstration of contemporary design issues, \u201c<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biennale-design.com\/saint-etienne\/2022\/fr\/ledition-2022\/\">Bifurcations<\/a><\/em>\u201dmobilizes many members of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/\">Learning Planet Institute<\/a> (students, designers, researchers and makers) around an exhibition : <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biennale-design.com\/saint-etienne\/2022\/fr\/a\/le-monde-sinon-rien-1376\">Le Monde, sinon rien, Pour un Bauhaus du Vivant<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"une-exposition-qui-r%C3%A9sonne-avec-les-engagements-de-learning-planet-institute-naviguer-entre-les-disciplines-apprendre-par-le-faire-s%E2%80%99engager-pour-l%E2%80%99environnement\">An exhibition that resonates with LearningPlanet Institute's commitments: navigating between disciplines, learning by doing, making a commitment to the environment.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Echoing the <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bauhaus\">Staatliches Bauhaus<\/a>, a school created by the German architect, designer and urban planner Walter Gropius for artists and craftsmen capable of giving meaning to an era in turmoil, the exhibition <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.biennale-design.com\/saint-etienne\/2022\/fr\/a\/le-monde-sinon-rien-1376\">Le Monde, sinon rien, Pour un Bauhaus du Vivant<\/a> <\/em>brings together artists and scientists to explore the upheavals brought about by the Anthropocene (the era in which human beings make lasting changes to their environment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The exhibition, based on a network of schools and laboratories, resonates with the Learning Planet Institute, a third place at the crossroads of science, digital technology and learning, linked by environmental commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>The Learning Planet Institute's involvement came from the idea of bringing scientists and designers together under the same principle of creative schools.\u201d <\/em>So it made sense for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/sophiep\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Sophie P\u00e8ne<\/a>, the exhibition's curator, to build bridges between the Institute and the Biennale. The Learning Planet Institute, armed with its desire to transform education through learning by doing and action, to enable everyone to act directly on their local and global environment. The former director of <a href=\"https:\/\/master.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\">Master of AIRE<\/a> d\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/u-paris.fr\/\">Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9<\/a>, housed at the Learning Planet Institute, provided a space for the talents she met at the Institute to express themselves, in line with the Biennial's artistic ambitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sophie P\u00e8ne adds: \u201c<em>I'd like to take this opportunity to thank my co-commissioner, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.benjamingraindorge.fr\/\">Benjamin Graindorge<\/a>, designer, scenographer and teacher at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citedudesign.com\/fr\/esadse\">\u2019Esadse<\/a>. I would also like to underline the confidence shown by <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Thierry_Mandon\">Thierry Mandon<\/a>, director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.citedudesign.com\/\">Cit\u00e9 du design<\/a>,<\/em> <em>former Secretary of State for<a href=\"https:\/\/www.enseignementsup-recherche.gouv.fr\/fr\">\u2018Higher Education and Research<\/a>, in <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fran%C3%A7ois_Taddei\">Fran\u00e7ois Taddei<\/a> and Learning Planet Institute teams to complement designers' approach to learning<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"cinq-totems-pour-mettre-en-lumi%C3%A8re-les-projets-open-source-et-interdisciplinaires-des-chercheurs-%C3%A9tudiants-et-makers\">FIVE TOTEMS TO HIGHLIGHT OPEN SOURCE AND INTERDISCIPLINARY PROJECTS BY RESEARCHERS, STUDENTS AND MAKERS<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"lexposition-se-d%C3%A9cline-en-cinq-grands-%E2%80%9Ctotems%E2%80%9D\">L\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/lemondesinonrien.fr\/carte\">exhibition<\/a> is divided into five major \u201ctotems\u201d:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00b7 <a href=\"https:\/\/lemondesinonrien.fr\/carte\/totem\/fantomes\">Ghosts<\/a> reminds us of the importance of the past and the legacies in which our explorations are rooted.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00b7 <a href=\"https:\/\/lemondesinonrien.fr\/carte\/totem\/polyphonie\">Polyphony<\/a> is the term used to describe the sensory life of a territory. There are sounds, songs and voices. <\/strong>Polysensoriality is the sign that living worlds cooperate in interdependence, emulation and, sometimes, tension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.researchgate.net\/profile\/Pauline-Provini\">Bird songs for human(e) voices<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/paulineprovini\">Pauline Provini<\/a> (UMR U1284, Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 - Inserm, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/education#06._fire-phd\">Learning Planet Institute<\/a>) manufactures a device to give humans back their voices by studying how birds sing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/lemondesinonrien.fr\/carte\/projet\/capteurs-du-makerlab\">MakerLab sensors<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/adrienhusson\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Adrien Husson<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/linkedin.com\/in\/joelchevrier\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Jo\u00ebl Chevrier<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/kevinlhoste\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Kevin Lhoste<\/a>. For the past 10 years, at the Learning Planet Institute's MakerLab, all newcomers have been invited to use Movuino, an open-source motion sensor, as an introduction to the design of connected objects. Discover 3 years of research by Adrien Husson, designer-researcher, in the research team of Jo\u00ebl Chevrier, Professor of Physics (University of Grenoble and UMR 1284, Universit\u00e9 Paris Cit\u00e9 - Inserm, Learning Planet Institute) and supported by K\u00e9vin Lhoste, researcher, maker and manager of the MakerLab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lemondesinonrien.fr\/carte\/projet\/capteurs-du-makerlab\">Sensitive Pen<\/a> by Ana <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ana-phelippeau-930a6a106\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Phelippeau<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/adrienhusson\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Adrien Husson<\/a> takes up the design of the Bic\u00ae 4 Couleurs. Familiar and discreet, it incorporates a Movuino sensor, which records writing, hand posture and grip, and pressure on the lead. Sensitive Pen facilitates diagnosis of handwriting disorders in both children and adults. Neurology, design and making come together for lightweight solutions to health problems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The<a href=\"https:\/\/lemondesinonrien.fr\/carte\/projet\/capteurs-du-makerlab\"> RGB lamp<\/a> (Red-Green-Blue) from\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/adrienhusson\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Adrien Husson<\/a>. A motion sensor controls the lamp's color changes. The aim of this workshop is to raise awareness among education professionals of the need to integrate digital technology into their teaching practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>Le Monde, sinon rien\u201d facilitates and initiates a virtual school of re-creation by networking schools, laboratories and workshops from different disciplinary fields.
