Classes start on May 23.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.learningplanetinstitute.org\/en\/\">Learning Planet Institute<\/a> is mobilizing three of its areas of expertise to offer an educational course on the challenges of ecological and social transition: the\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Interdisciplinarit%C3%A9\">interdisciplinarity<\/a>, l\u2019<a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Intelligence_collective\">collective intelligence<\/a> and research. The challenges of <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Durabilit%C3%A9\">durability<\/a> are complex and concern all dimensions of our society, requiring the mobilization of several disciplinary fields. <br \/>Through 12 video vignettes, the learner gradually grasps these issues in a systemic approach, and then explores possible avenues for building a prosperous future.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"kg-card kg-embed-card\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"200\" height=\"113\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8q5Zmgzbw4U?start=1&#038;feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/figure>\n<h3 id=\"trois-volets-pour-acqu%C3%A9rir-des-connaissances-solides-et-interdisciplinaires-sur-la-durabilit%C3%A9\">THREE STRANDS TO BUILD SOLID, INTERDISCIPLINARY KNOWLEDGE OF SUSTAINABILITY<\/h3>\n<p>Dispensed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/gaellmainguy\/?originalSubdomain=fr\">Ga\u00ebll Manguy<\/a>, Director of Development and International Relations, at the Learning Planet Institute, the MOOC \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/mooc-campus.afd.fr\/enrol\/synopsis\/index.php?id=9\">What solutions for a sustainable world?<\/a>\u201dis divided into three main sections.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How did Man become a geological power capable of transforming the Earth?<\/strong><br \/>In the first instance,<strong> <\/strong>it will be a matter of defining the framework within which the challenges of <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Durabilit%C3%A9\">durability<\/a> The major physical principles, the natural limits of our planet, and the demographic, economic, social and environmental characteristics that have enabled human development. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Which indicators characterize our development and what are the consequences for the Earth system?<\/strong><br \/>The second part will identify the nature of the challenges we face. Learners will discover the physical and living resources that enable us to meet our needs, some of which are also endangered by our activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How can we design a fair and secure framework for prosperity in the future?<\/strong><br \/>Finally, Ga\u00ebll Mainguy takes a forward-looking look at humanity's future needs, and reviews some of the theoretical models and institutional frameworks that can help us devise possible solutions.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3 id=\"une-formation-gratuite-certifiante-bas%C3%A9e-sur-l%E2%80%99intelligence-collective\">FREE, CERTIFIED TRAINING BASED ON COLLECTIVE INTELLIGENCE<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/mooc-campus.afd.fr\/enrol\/synopsis\/index.php?id=9\">training<\/a>, starting on <strong>May 23<\/strong>, is <strong>free of charge<\/strong> and leads to the issue of a certificate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the assessment procedures? <\/strong><br \/>The MOOC is self-study and relies on collective intelligence to define certain concepts together and assess each other's progress. Numerous resources will be provided to explore each chapter in greater depth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is this MOOC for? <\/strong><br \/>The MOOC is particularly suitable for anyone wishing to learn about sustainability issues. It is also an interesting preliminary step for training programs such as summer schools or other project-based teaching to provide a common knowledge base for a group of learners.
