Childhoods from the territory: quilombo, ancestry, and memory<\/p>\n

Childhood is often treated as something we leave behind when we grow up. This event invites us to rethink childhood through territory and memory, using the idea of the quilombos.<\/p>\n

Quilombos were communities created by Black people in Brazil who escaped slavery and built safe and supportive spaces together. Through art and memory, the event offers a decolonial perspective on childhood and explores questions of migration, access to education, and social inclusion.<\/p>\n
