Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide. 10 million people died in 2020 due to cancer. Around 100 types of cancer exist, and 30-50% of these cancers can be prevented by avoiding risk factors and detecting cancers early. Dissemination of knowledge about cancer is the first step to awareness and hence early diagnosis.
The research team BreMo (Breast Health in Nepal Monitoring & Awareness) is organising a GameAThon on March 18th to achieve this goal by gamifying cancer information.
We wish to bring people from all disciplines to work in synergy and reproduce game-based solutions that can empower people to prevent their likelihood of getting cancer or improve their likelihood of survival by promoting early detection.
No pre-requisites: no need to be a developer or an expert; come on board to learn, discuss and play!
