In today’s changing and ever evolving landscape, learning to learn is essential, and critical, for ourselves and for our students.
In this one-hour webinar, we will explore the core principles of self-regulated learning and examine practical strategies and useful resources for promoting self-regulated learning in several digitally enhanced contexts. We will collectively look at and reflect upon some digital advances that can help promote SRL in practice for different levels of education by addressing key questions such as: What is self-regulated learning, and why does it matter? What are self-regulated learning strategies? How can we promote self-regulated learning strategies? How might tools and advances in digital / artificial intelligence help us promote self-regulated learning? Are there negative effects of AI on/for self-regulated learning?
In seeking answers to these questions, the webinar will interactively identify instances where you can: Promote SRL with students in low- and high-tech settings. Explore some good practices of SRL in technology-enhanced settings. Learn about some useful tools that will support you in getting students to reflect on, monitor, and improve their learning skills. Get involved! Share and connect with peers (inter)nationally to continue to learn and co-develop SRL capacity and tools.
We hope this poster session will provide food for thought, inspiration and action in your own SRL practice, and in that of your students, offering ‘old’ and new tools to improve learning to learn!
