LearningPlanet Festival 2025: Co-designing a better world for and with the next generation
In the spirit of a peaceful future - Part 1: Asia, Africa and Europe
With 183 ongoing conflicts around the world, the need for effective peacebuilding has never been greater. This urgency was underlined by 46,000 young people from around the world who made “peace” their top priority (Youth Talks, 2023). In response to this call, the Learning Planet Institute and Global Education Futures, supported by international partners, are collaborating on the Peaceful Futures program to train and empower hundreds of young agents of change around the world. At the heart of this initiative is the Atlas of Peaceful Futures, a dynamic, open-ended repository of transformative grassroots practices that promote “positive peace” in communities, economies and systems of governance. The first of two dynamic sessions will shine the spotlight on change-makers, true peacemakers, from Asia, Africa and Europe, showing how they are bridging gaps and meeting unique challenges with resilience and creativity. The second session, “In the Mood for Peaceful Futures - Part 2“will highlight inspiring peace-building practices in North and South America.By amplifying these voices, we aim to inspire action, accelerate the cultivation of positive peace ecosystems around the world, and develop the Atlas of Peaceful Futures as a living resource enriched by ongoing contributions. Join us to discover how grassroots efforts are fostering more sustainable and peaceful futures. With
