karenTriquet is Head of Education Development, currently Central Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for the EUTOPIA Alliance for Higher Education, and a PhD researcher on technology-assisted learning and behavior at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).

In today's ever-changing and evolving landscape, learning how to learn is essential and critical, for ourselves and for our students. In this one-hour webinar, we'll explore the fundamental principles of self-regulated learning and examine practical strategies and useful resources for promoting self-regulated learning in a number of digitally-enhanced contexts. We will collectively examine and reflect on some of the digital advances that can help promote self-regulated learning in practice for different levels of education, addressing key questions such as: What is self-regulated learning and why is it important? What are self-regulated learning strategies? How can we promote self-regulated learning strategies? How can digital/artificial intelligence tools and advances help us promote self-regulated learning? Are there any negative effects of AI on/for self-regulated learning? In seeking answers to these questions, the webinar will interactively identify cases where you can: Promote self-regulated learning with students in low- and high-tech environments. Explore some good practices for self-regulated learning in technology-intensive contexts. Discover useful tools that will help you encourage students to reflect on, monitor and improve their learning skills. Get involved! Share and connect with (inter)national peers to continue learning and co-developing literacy skills and tools. We hope this poster session will provide you with food for thought, inspiration and action in your own and your students“ literacy practice, offering ”old" and new tools to improve literacy learning!
