LISA Webinar - Psychosocial skills: a lever for improving young people's mental health and facilitating school transitions, with Rebecca Shankland

Rebecca Shankland is Professor of Developmental Psychology at the Université Lumière Lyon 2, head of the Observatoire des compétences psychosociales et du Bien-être en contextes Educatifs (OBE), and a researcher at the DIPHE Laboratory (Développement, Individu, Processus, Handicap, Education). She is also a senior member of the Institut Universitaire de France. For the past 20 years, her work has focused on the development of psychosocial skills and mental health from childhood to adulthood, particularly in school settings. She has published numerous articles and books on the subject, including “Accompagner le développement des compétences émotionnelles chez l'enfant” and “Former au développement des compétences psychosociales”, published by Dunod in 2024 and 2026.

Her talk will focus on the role of psychosocial skills in the mental health of young people, particularly in the context of school transitions.
