(in English) Masterclass: Climate change will impact your job The Shift Project, hosting Yves-André Gagnard, Head of Investment, Business Transformation & Innovation and Olivier Carrot, Global Vice President at Concentrix Abstract: This conference is built around the idea of giving students and professionals the keys to understanding the world they live in or are about to enter. The first part will present the mechanisms of global warming and the issues at stake. The second part will look at the choices facing companies. We will then suggest courses of action for students and young professionals. This conference develops three main ideas: - The future is not set in stone, contrary to the many doomsday scenarios circulating in the climate change community; - Businesses are in constant interaction with their environment, and assessing the relevance and impact of these interactions on climate change or climate adaptation is complex but essential; - The business world can change, but it must be part of an overall social movement; - The business world can change, but it must be part of an overall social movement; - The world of education is changing.
