Presentation of the speaker :Seth Frey is a computational social scientist who studies governance institutions for the commons and other complex social systems. He specializes in the use of online communities as model systems for emerging institutional and organizational phenomena. He is an associate professor in communication at the University of California at Davis, affiliated with the’Ostrom workshop at Indiana University and director of research at Metagov. He was a behavioral economist at Disney Research at Walt Disney Imagineering, and a researcher in complex systems at the NECSI. Seth received a PhD in Cognitive Science and Computer Science (Complex Systems) from Indiana University in 2013, as well as a BSc in Cognitive Science from UC Berkeley.
