“As AI seems to know everything”, some players are questioning the value of continuing to train, which could call into question the role of higher education establishments, warns the report “AI and higher education: training, structuring and appropriation by society”, submitted on July 10, 2025 to ministers Elisabeth Borne and Philippe Baptiste. Its authors, François Taddei (LPI) and Frédéric Pascal (Paris-Saclay), make six recommendations in it, including the creation of a national “AI, education and society” institute. “Higher education institutions must seize the opportunities offered by AI”.
