What is PISA?
PISA is the OECD's international program for monitoring student achievement. PISA measures the ability of 15-year-olds to use their knowledge and skills in reading, mathematics and science to meet real-life challenges.
What can we learn from this evaluation?
The results of the first global assessment of global competencies show that public policies can make a real difference: the schools and education systems that are most successful in promoting global knowledge, skills and attitudes in their students are those that offer a curriculum that values openness to the world, provide a positive and inclusive learning environment, offer opportunities to build relationships with people from other cultures, and whose teachers are prepared to teach global competencies.
