Today, the Eco-Ecole sustainable development education program unveils the 683 schools that have been awarded the label in mainland France and the French overseas territories.
An unprecedented year for the label
Now in its 15th year, Eco-Ecole has 683 schools with the label, from nursery to high school, including 297 new ones! The Eco-Ecole label enables schools participating in the Eco-Ecole program to demonstrate their commitment to sustainable development. Each year, schools and colleges in the Eco-Ecole network can apply for the label for their project. If the application is approved, the Eco-Ecole, Eco-Collège or Eco-Lycée flag can be flown from the front of the school.
