What is a Savanturiers project?

A Savanturiers project is an education-through-research project carried out in class by students, orchestrated by one or more teachers, and focusing on one or more fields of scientific investigation. The class may also be accompanied by a scientific advisor.

Who can participate?

- Kindergarten, primary, junior high and high school students throughout France and the French-speaking world
- Teachers, REP coordinators, school heads...
- Researchers, doctoral students, engineers, students

Your role

  • Bring your methodological expertise to bear at key moments in the conduct of the research project by exchanging ideas with the teacher and his or her students
  • Share your questions as a researcher, engineer
  • Suggest research topics, documents available and accessible to students, and ways to develop a working method.
  • Join an educational and scientific community

How to participate

Some class projects require scientific support. Two types of participation are possible:

  • provide assistance to one or more classes, on an ad hoc basis during the school year, to respond to a need for dialogue or to resolve a temporary difficulty; ;
  • sponsor a class project, with support throughout.

Depending on the choice of participation, six to ten hours spread over the school year for exchanges by e-mail, social networks, videoconferencing, or for a visit to your classroom or workplace.
