Caroline Huron, a researcher at Inserm's Learning Planet Institute, has been named Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur in recognition of her work on dyspraxia, by decree of the President of the Republic dated December 31, 2021.

This medal rewards her many years of research work on dyspraxia, a developmental motor coordination disorder, as well as her commitment to the association she chairs. Le Cartable Fantastique, which aims to “help children with disabilities, and in particular dyspraxic children, to be included in school”.

Psychiatrist and Inserm researcher specializing in cognitive sciences, Caroline Huron's research focuses on dyspraxia, within the collaboratory, including the ANR-funded MALIN (MAnuels scoLaires Inclusifs) research project. The aim of this project is to automate the adaptation of school textbooks to make them accessible (access, processing and interaction with content) to pupils with disabilities. It is based on a combination of medical, pedagogical and cognitive psychology expertise on the one hand, and expertise in human-computer interaction/interfaces, digital accessibility and intelligent systems design on the other.
