As part of the IdEx Covid call for projects launched by the University of Paris, Cloé Brami, coordinator of the Cree HealthLab and doctoral student, has been awarded a first grant for her project on mindfulness meditation.
Cloé Brami, who is committed to issues of well-being in the workplace, focuses her research on training medical students in interdisciplinarity and the philosophy of care. Coming from a background combining science as a medical doctor (oncologist) and contemplative science as a teacher of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), she is keen to explore and develop further pedagogical skills for health education.
Cloé Brami's proposal to integrate mindfulness meditation, and in particular the concepts of stress and anxiety management, into the curriculum of medical students is a project that makes perfect sense in today's health context, and fits in perfectly with the Covid IdEx.
In response to the urgent training needs of students and healthcare professionals, the University of Paris launched the IdEx Covid call for projects, the aim of which is to produce teaching modules in a short space of time.
They can be reused in initial and further training courses and integrated into university curricula, but should above all be used for emergency prevention in the event of a second wave or another health crisis in the short term.
The call for projects was a resounding success, with 16 projects submitted, 7 of which were selected by the selection committee for a total of 50,000 euros.
