[#EVENT] «Covid Hackathon» April 23-24, 2021

  • Institutional

Administrations, institutions and civil society players will come together on April 23rd and 24th for a 48-hour design and development marathon, led by the Interministerial Department for Public Transformation (DITP) with the support of Ministry of Solidarity and Health, as part of the preparation of France's 3rd “open government” action plan. Objective: to create tools and solutions to combat the pandemic.

The hackathon will take place in two rooms in the same virtual space. The plenary room will host a series of presentations on the various uses of COVID-19 data and related issues. These presentations will be broadcast live and accessible to all. The working room, accessible on registration, is open to anyone with an idea, skill, know-how or curiosity about data, who would like to create joint solutions to combat the pandemic.

This event will be hosted by the DITP with the support of the French Ministry of Solidarity and Health, and the participation of CRI and Just One Giant Lab, as well as Datactivist, Adios Corona, Bayes Impact, C Ways, Collectif CoData, CovidTracker, Data For Good, DINUM, Du Côté de la Sciences, Etalab, Health Data Hub, Latitudes, Liberté Living Lab and Modcov19.

There are four challenges for which anyone can contribute ideas:

  • Better support for Covid victims in the short and long term,
  • Streamline the vaccination campaign,
  • Follow the evolution of the pandemic differently,
  • Measuring risks and encouraging virtuous behavior.

All profiles are welcome:

  • data specialists (data analyst, data scientist, etc.),
  • developers whose programming skills will bring their team's project to life,
  • designers and other usage designers, capable of thinking about how solutions can be integrated into users' everyday lives,
  • researchers capable of mobilizing scientific knowledge for the benefit of a project,
  • citizens wishing to share their needs for solutions by getting actively involved in a team.
