April 5, 2023, CY Cergy Paris Université and Learning Planet Institute have signed a 5-year partnership agreement.
The aim of this collaboration is to establish a framework for joint action in the context of environmental and societal transition. The Learning Planet Institute thus becomes one of the strategic partners of CY Alliance.
With the aim of opening up and boosting visibility and attractiveness on a national and international scale, all our actions are also designed to contribute to the cohesion, development and influence of the regions in which our partners are based.
Joint actions to promote regional cohesion and influence
The partners are committed to developing 5 areas of joint action, aimed at fostering relations between science and society, while respecting the principles of academic freedom and scientific integrity:
- teaching
- research
- international impact
- Valorisation des Acquis de l'Expérience/de l'Engagement (VAE) (Valuing experience and commitment)
- exploring joint partnerships in the “Science in Society” field”
On the teaching front, the partners are committed to the creation and development of training courses that aim to educate current and future generations about global issues in an interdisciplinary way, with, for example, the continuation and strengthening of collaboration on the ACT Bachelor's degree.
The joint desire to educate for transitions and to facilitate them in the field of education, is accompanied by a research program, The aim is to contribute to the re-engineering of knowledge creation and transmission systems. This will take the form of a joint team or research laboratory, with the ambition of welcoming other external partners.
To maximize’international impact, international partnerships are set to develop, notably with Arizona State University or with the European alliance EUTOPIA, of which CY is a founding member and the Institut is a partner.
To bring these projects to fruition, the axis of the Valorization of Acquired Experience and Commitment is committed to implementing measures that will massively increase access to qualifications and the use of the VAE system.
Finally, this strategic partnership aims to initiate new collaborations, by developing partnerships within the framework of the LearningPlanet Festival and other activities supported by’Learning Planet Institute International Alliance.
