Training in the education-through-research model and the posture of the pedagogue-researcher online on January 22!
Education through research is based on the premise that no teaching method is virtuous in itself. Whatever the method, it will always be subordinate to the teacher's expertise.
It's the pedagogical vigilance of the person who designs and runs the classroom device that guarantees deep, motivated and self-regulated learning for every student.
What is an educational researcher?
Since the act of teaching is “thought in action”, the posture of the pedagogue-researcher reflects a double affirmation:
- Teaching is a profession of design, engineering and research, not one of execution and application.
- Teaching also means evolving and adapting with and thanks to scientific consensus, by collaborating within a teaching community, but also between teachers and researchers.
Bringing scientific research into line with your pedagogical expression to equip you in the design, implementation and evaluation of your classroom practices is the ambition of this MOOC Education through research: the pedagogue researcher.
New for this edition!
In-depth support for participants from REP/REP+ and rural areas
Teachers in REP, REP+, rural areas and beginners will benefit from in-depth support and personalized advice to help them get to grips with and follow up their Savanturiers projects.
A MOOC led by a cognitive psychology researcher
The MOOC will be led by Alice Latimier, PhD in cognitive psychology (Ecole Normale Supérieure), whose research work is in line with the desire to promote evidence-based education, at the interface between basic and applied research. She is particularly interested in using science as a lever to shed light on how to teach and transmit new knowledge.
Alice Latimier has been working with Savanturiers for many years, notably as a mentor on the theme of the brain.
Practical information
Who is this course for?
To take part in these MOOCs, you don't need to have any skills or knowledge in engineering or biology. They are aimed at anyone interested in a teaching approach that aims to turn every pupil, every child, into a learner-researcher. In particular, it is aimed at primary school teachers and, more broadly, the classes covered by the Common Base of Knowledge, Skills and Culture. In addition, these online training courses will provide inspirational elements for organizers and educators in their Education through Research projects.
