A mission shared by the Orange Foundation and the Learning Planet Institute
The Learning Planet Institute thanks the Orange Foundation for renewing its confidence in the FabLabs Solidaires program.
Since 2018, the Foundation has been an unwavering supporter of the Institute's mission: to change the ways in which those seeking to enter the professional world create, design and realize their projects.

Beneficiaries of Inclusion« programs» of the Learning Planet Institute are people living in priority urban neighborhoods who need to be (re)mobilized (young people, jobseekers with few or no qualifications, women...) through fun, personalized and innovative pathways to employment and entrepreneurship.

The digital and technical aspects of these programs are supported by the Orange Foundation, as part of the FabLabs Solidaires. Within the MakerLab At the Learning Planet Institute - an evolution of the fablab - beneficiaries reinforce their learning by doing, with ideation, construction and prototyping sessions using the digital tools at their disposal (3D printer, laser cutter, Arduino boards, etc.). They are thus trained in design, engineering and research methods, while at the same time realizing their professional project. This enables them to acquire skills and knowledge that are not only technical, but also cross-disciplinary (cooperation, creativity, critical thinking, etc.).

Thanks to the generous support of the Foundation, the Inclusion programs have had the following impact:
- A total of 180 program beneficiaries
- 3/4 of them followed the employment pathway, while 1/4 followed the entrepreneurship pathway.
- Group workshops take place at MakerLab, over a period of 4 to 6 weeks for the employment component, and 6 months for the entrepreneurial component.
- Participants in the employment program received 60 hours of training, and those in the entrepreneurship program 180 hours.
- 75% of participants are in employment or training at the end of the program.
2/3 of them are on permanent or fixed-term contracts, or have started their own business.

Beyond the numbers, the partnership between the Orange Foundation and the Learning Planet Institute can boast of having had a qualitative impact on each individual's career path, both through the fulfillment of individual projects and the restoration of self-confidence and self-esteem.
The life stories we have been able to highlight would not have been possible without the invaluable help of the Foundation.
With the support of the Orange Foundation
