Launch of a practical toolbox on climate justice for middle and high schools

  • Education

After the publication of an initial educational toolbox on climate justice in 2020, Savanturiers - School of Research and Everyone's business unveil a new, practical toolbox of turnkey activities on climate justice and environmental law for middle and high school teachers!

CLIMATE JUSTICE TOOLBOX

HELPING SCHOOLS GET TO GRIPS WITH ENVIRONMENTAL LAW

How can we prepare young people to understand and act to preserve the right of future generations to a habitable world, and fill the gaps in school curricula on environmental and climate issues?

There is an urgent need to work with young people through education: recent studies show that almost 60% of young people aged 16 to 25 say they are very worried or extremely worried about climate change. That's why we felt the need to propose playful activities that offer solutions and hope.

THE PRACTICAL TOOLBOX: TURNKEY ACTIVITIES FOR TEACHERS

Les Savanturiers and Notre Affaires à Tous have put together this new educational toolbox, comprising five fun and informative activity sheets:

  • The shifting debate
  • Climate and environmental inequalities
  • Improvisational theater: simulating an international negotiation and an environmental trial
  • Environmental charter for middle and high schools
  • The eloquence contest

The aim of this dossier is to provide turnkey activities for teachers, so that they can help the younger generation get to grips with climate and environmental issues.
