As part of its permanent exhibition, the Pavillon France hosts the Planet Education exhibition, designed in partnership with CRI and #LearningPlanet, for the Dubai World Expo, from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

Inspired by WeLearn, the knowledge GPS developed on the basis of Wikipedia by CRI's Artificial Intelligence teams, the Planet Education offers an immersion into the infinite space of knowledge. Visit Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry, whose talents as an explorer are known the world over, will accompany visitors on a brief discovery of this rapidly expanding planet. During this imaginary and poetic journey, projected onto a suspended planisphere, everyone will be able to appreciate the countless connections between disciplines (arts, sciences, techniques, etc.) and cultures.

This unique experience will also open up vast horizons for the future of education, as The Little Prince has a knack for asking questions that leave a lasting impression! Beyond the immersive, brief and sensational experience, visitors will be able to delve deeper online into subjects linked to new 21st-century learning methods, AI and collective intelligence, and participatory science.

“Explore the world of knowledge of yesterday, today and tomorrow, learn from each other, explore the unknown, explore the planet of dreams... And follow what Saint Exupéry said “Make our lives a dream, and our dreams, a reality”“(François Taddei, co-founder and director of CRI).

Dubai World Expo

Launched in the mid-19th century, Universal Exhibitions have contributed to the emergence of solutions to major global challenges, and to the advancement of peoples and cultures. Accessible to all, they provide an opportunity to showcase and experience the latest innovations from participating countries. This gives everyone the chance to become an agent of change and progress, to rethink models, and to share and imagine solutions for tomorrow.

For this 1st World Expo organized in the MEASA region (Middle East, Africa and South Asia), Expo 2020 Dubai will be the center of the world for six months, offering new experiences every day around the theme «Connecting Minds, Building the Future». The exhibition is divided into three sub-themes - sustainability, mobility and opportunity - each materialized by a geographical space. Visitors will find the French Pavilion at the heart of the «Mobility» geographical wing.

The French Pavilion

The Pavillon France's slogan «Inspiration at the speed of light» reflects its ambition and its program: in record time, to lead visitors along a path that highlights unique and daring French innovations and creations, in all the fields that make the history of humanity a history of progress: science, research, technology, arts and crafts, education.

“The permanent exhibition will take visitors on a journey through the history of progress, which has been the founding concept of Universal Exhibitions since the mid-19th century. This journey is made up of three spaces, each offering a different approach and vision of progress.” (Justine Weulersse, exhibition curator)

Alongside Planet Education, visitors can discover Planet Science, embodied by the CNRS, and Planet Art, represented by the Art Explora Foundation.

The aim of the French Pavilion is to inspire visitors: to bring out ideas, desires and emotions, to arouse commitment, and to embody innovations. Under the banner of progress, innovation and creation, the visitor experience revolves around light.
