UNITAR presents : A day celebrating the future of youth in Asia-Pacific

On Saturday, September 18, 2021, the’UNITAR, in collaboration with ITS Education Asia and KIDsforSDGs, will be holding a free public webinar to celebrate the launch of the UNITAR Young Ambassadors Program in Asia September 25, 2021.

About the UNITAR Young Ambassadors Program for Asia-Pacific :

Launched in 2021, the UNITAR Young Ambassadors Program for Asia-Pacific aims to empower high school students in Hong Kong and various cities in China, as well as other Asia-Pacific countries, to help our world be raise of the COVID-19 pandemic, only better, greener and stronger.

For 10 weeks, UNITAR's Young Ambassadors will learn from local and international experts about the most pressing issues affecting global recovery. They will discuss youth-led leadership United Nations and Sustainable development goals (SDGs), digital transformation and innovation, youth employment, youth entrepreneurship for sustainable development, and social and climate justice.

VisitUNITAR Prosperity Division has long been committed to inspiring young people to embrace sustainable development. Since 2010, La Prospérité - through its Hiroshima office - manages UNITAR Young Ambassadors program in Hiroshima for high school students in Japan's City of Peace. This program is one of UNITAR Prosperity/Hiroshima's most important commitments to the local community and its inhabitants.

Thanks to a partnership with ITS Education Asia, UNITAR's Young Ambassadors Program for Asia-Pacific expands the Hiroshima program to reach young people in a wider region. Starting with Hong Kong in 2021, UNITAR and ITS plan to extend the Young Ambassadors Program to several cities in China in 2022, then to other Asia-Pacific countries in 2023.
