On April 22, the Learning Planet Institute and the Association Française pour l'Education par la Recherche (AFPER) have signed an agreement aimed at expanding Savanturiers projects outside the Institute.
Since its creation, the Learning Planet Institute initiates, prototypes and co-constructs public-interest projects, providing them with an ecosystem conducive to their development. A veritable gas pedal for these initiatives, the Institute helps them to grow and become autonomous. This desire to expand has met with the wish of’Ange Ansour, Program Director Savanturiers-École de la recherche, to lead the project within AFPER, which she co-founded. The association's ambition is to work with educators and students to promote their success, the development of their professional prospects, and their commitment to citizenship in the age of the Anthropocene.
A PROJECT BORN OF THE ENCOUNTER BETWEEN RESEARCH AND TEACHING THAT HAS SUPPORTED 40,000 STUDENTS
Savanturiers-Ecole de la Recherche was born of the encounter between Ange Ansour's ideas and pedagogical experiments in the field of school education and those of François Taddei, in the fields of research and higher education. Spearheaded since 2013 by Ange Ansour and the CRI, which has since become the Learning Planet Institute, the Savanturiers project has gone from strength to strength: nearly 40,000 student researchers have set up research projects on topics as complex as neuroscience, astrophysics or the human and social sciences. Thousands of kindergarten, elementary and secondary school teachers have also changed their classroom practices by adopting the pedagogue-researcher posture, alongside hundreds of mentors, engineers and researchers, who have passed on their knowledge and opened up the world of research.
Building on the foundations laid at the Learning Planet Institute, Savanturiers-Ecole de la Recherche, supported by AFPER, will continue to develop education through research for all students, mentors and teachers in France and abroad. The Learning Planet Institute, for its part, is continuing its founding commitment to young people, and will continue to perpetuate and deploy its activities aimed at young people and educators.
