To mark International Children's Rights Day on November 20, more than 170 young Parisians took part in the drafting of the Parisian Charter of Children's Rights, signed by the Mayor of Paris.

In 1989, world leaders signed the International Convention on the Rights of the Child, proclaiming and guaranteeing our rights as children around the globe. Since then, our rights have progressed and adults are paying more attention to them. But there's always room for improvement, and we, the children of Paris, have some ideas for the way forward.

With this Charter, we are asking the Mayor of Paris to commit to better defending our rights in six areas that we consider the most important for growing up well and becoming fulfilled adults and responsible citizens.
