A global commitment to learning how to take care of ourselves, others and the planet
This year, the LearningPlanet festival once again brought together thousands of participants from all over the world to focus on education and major societal challenges.
The 2025 theme: “Co-designing a better world for and with the next generation”.”, The event highlighted inspiring and innovative initiatives aimed at transforming education and building a peaceful and sustainable future with and for young people.
Key themes for rethinking education
The festival explored key themes such as
- Co-constructing the future of education with young people
- Peace education and global citizenship
- The impact of AI on education
- Well-being, mental health and human development
- Education for sustainability and green jobs
- Transforming education systems and learning ecosystems
Key figures for the 2025 edition
- More 550 events in France and abroad.
- 50,000 online visitors from 180 countries, This marks a significant increase in global commitment.
- 107,000 unique page views on the Festival platform in 2025, compared with 77,000 in 2024.
- Large-scale events such as those organized by the Study Hall Educational Foundation (SHEF) in India, which brought together 4,700 participants, or“The UN on your doorstep“organized by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), which brought together 1,000 participants online.
Inspiring events at the Planet Learning Institute
January 23 was a particularly eventful day at the Institute:
- Creathons, master classes, round tables, workshops, etc.
- 150 participants on site engaged in enriching discussions
- Networking events with strategic partners, including a visit to the’UNESCO in Paris
In addition, the festival's impact was felt throughout France thanks to the Festival of Learning, the French edition of the LearningPlanet festival, with dedicated events in cities such as Paris, Lyon, Brest, Montpellier, Saint-Étienne and Biovallée.
