The 2nd edition of the #LearningPlanet Festival, organized by CRI and UNESCO, will take place online on January 24 and 25. To mark International Education Day, the #LearningPlanet Festival brings together over 250 education players from all over the world. International organizations, associations, schools, universities, researchers and local authorities will be sharing their insights and experiences on new ways of learning, teaching, studying and researching, or mobilizing collective intelligence, to help learners meet the unprecedented challenges of our time together. «Learning to take care of ourselves, others and the planet» will be the theme of this year's event.

Topics in tune with current events

At a time when schools, universities and young people are deeply affected by the pandemic, the #LearningPlanet Festival will invite participants to share their thoughts on the challenges facing us today, and offer an opportunity to celebrate the initiatives already being implemented to overcome them.

We'll be highlighting the various strategies we can use to meet the challenges facing education: How can we educate young people about the goals of sustainable development? How can we prevent future health risks facing children? What new challenges do we face with the Covid-19 pandemic? How can we better integrate children into collective societal choices? What role can art, science and technology play in education? Innovative educational initiatives are already in place. How do we envisage their future? What will the education of the future look like?

These themes are at the heart of the #LearningPlanet Festival, and it's through collective intelligence and action around relevant and adapted learning that the most complex challenges can be solved.
