François Taddei is co-founder and director of the Learning Planet Institute (formerly CRI: Centre de recherches interdisciplinaires) since 2006. He has been Director of Research at Inserm since 1999, within the Systems Engineering and Evolutionary Dynamics (SEED) team. A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts, des Eaux et Forêts (1991), he obtained his PhD in molecular genetics in 1995, and his HDR the same year. In 2005, he co-founded the CRI, a research center focusing on new ways of learning, teaching, doing research and mobilizing collective intelligence in the fields of life sciences, learning sciences and digital technologies. François Taddei, holder of the Unesco Chair in Learning Sciences« since 2014, has published Learning in the 21st century (Calmann-Lévy, 2018) and more recently And if we (Calmann Lévy, 2022), books that illustrate his research and aspirations for learning societies in the face of tomorrow's challenges.
