Our world is very different from what it was yesterday. It's easy to remember a time when we didn't all carry computers in our pockets, when Tesla referred to a person rather than a car company, when meetings began with a handshake rather than a microphone check. It's less easy, but more important, to imagine how our world will be different tomorrow.
What does the future hold?
It all depends. Tomorrow could bring new discoveries. Will we accept what's new? Will we honor what is timeless? Tomorrow could mean justice. Will we take stock of our past? Will we right the wrongs and correct the inequalities? Tomorrow could mean resilience. Will we address uncertainty as learners, neighbors and civic communities?One thing's for sure: tomorrow will bring opportunities, but also challenges. A bright, flourishing future doesn't just happen. It requires a vision of what that future could be, a plan to get there, and the courage to take bold steps together.
