In a learning society, each individual must be able to build and share his or her knowledge and discoveries with others, document what he or she has learned, and have access to the resources, places and support needed to progress, but also to enable others to draw inspiration from them and improve their practices. «By promoting a climate of trust within the education system that is conducive to the development of pedagogical innovations backed by research; by stimulating research to expand our knowledge base; and by developing the dissemination of knowledge for the benefit of initial and continuing training, research and development for education must become a central vector for the evolution of the education system, to prepare our young people and, beyond that, our fellow citizens, for the world of tomorrow.
