The Ikigai method
“Ikigai” is a Japanese concept generally interpreted as “that which gives meaning and purpose to life”. Over the past decade, methods for finding one's Ikigai have been attracting a great deal of interest around the world.
Since 2018, Learning Planet Institute has organized over 350 Ikigai workshops, attended by more than 5,000 people. Using proven questionnaires, our research has revealed a significant increase in participants' sense of purpose and meaning.

This research focused on the four questions generally associated with the Ikigai process.
- What are you passionate about?
- What does the world need?
- What can you do?
- What can you afford to do?
The Ikigai+ web application
The result of a partnership between Learning Planet Institute and CY Cergy Paris Université, Ikigai+ is an AI-powered digital experience that helps people combine what they love, what they're good at, what the world needs and what they can get paid for, so that their studies and careers reflect who they really are.
The aim: to encourage 40,000 people over the next three years to discover their Ikigai, define their professional vocation and take concrete steps to foster collective and planetary fulfillment.
