As part of the Urban environment agreements, The aim of this document was to examine the possibilities of developing a global consensus on an urban environmental index to assess the environmental performance of cities.
We analyzed a variety of conceptual and actual sustainability and environmental reporting systems at national and community/municipal level, and assessed their strengths and weaknesses in the face of current challenges.
