To contribute to the OECD's Innovation Strategy by writing a report on the characteristics of educational approaches and systems that appear to stimulate creativity, initiative and risk-taking in students. The report (some 40 pages long) will review a selection of theoretical articles in the natural and social sciences, and compare certain characteristics of approaches and systems
in various OECD countries. Based on this analysis, the article will discuss the main implications for measures and policies.
