Learning differently in a time of unavoidable transitions

At a time when crises and change are accelerating, it is urgent to reflect on and adapt to the new skills and knowledge needed for transitions.

Since 2006, the Learning Planet Institute has been using collective intelligence to explore, experiment with and share new ways of learning and cooperating to meet the needs of young people and the planet.

The Institute is reinventing learning at all ages, and advocating large-scale collaboration to co-construct learning, sustainable and inclusive societies capable of meeting the complex challenges we face.

This autumn, the Learning Planet Institute unveils its strategic program for the first term of the 2023/2024 academic year.

Focusing on transitions and transformations in learning, the Institute draws on a solid scientific foundation and strategic partnerships to shape tomorrow's education.

September : LISA France 2030 - Focus on students' mental health

As part of the Call for Expressions of Interest (AMI) «Innovation in the school environment», the project LISA France 2030 has been selected. By offering new, effective tools to better identify, understand and support students' learning needs, this project aims to respond to the urgent need for well-being and mental health in children and adolescents.

More than 230 pilot schools in the Ile-de-France academic region (Créteil, Paris and Versailles Academies), as well as all schools under the full responsibility of the Mission laïque française, will gradually benefit from this innovative scheme. Eventually, over 80,000 students will be supported in improving their well-being and mental health.

September : strategic partnership with CY Cergy Paris Université

The Learning Planet Institute has joined forces with CY Cergy Paris Université to create a new research unit entitled «Learning Transitions». This initiative aims to reinvent knowledge creation and transmission systems to support major societal transitions such as climate change, biodiversity loss, migration, inequality and advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Systemic analysis of transitions, engineering of individual, community and organizational transitions, as well as transitions induced and/or facilitated by AI will be at the heart of this unit's research activities.

The Learning Planet Institute looks forward to launching this new unit, focused on the learning of the future. With its strong partnerships and commitment to quality education, the Institute will continue to innovate and shape the future of learning.
